Date of Passing: Feb 04, 2005
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryROBERT JAMES KENNEDY Robert James Kennedy, most beloved husband of Yvonne and father of Stuart, passed away with loved ones by his side on February 4, 2005, at the Health Sciences Centre, Winnipeg. Bob was born in Carberry, MB on March 20, 1939, the only son of James Stuart and Elsie Kennedy. He spent his formative years growing up in the area and eventually joined the Royal Canadian Mounted Police in 1958. He served in Banff, AB where he met his beloved wife and life long companion Yvonne Harris. They were married in Springbank, AB on April 1, 1964, and their only son Stuart was born later that year. The family returned to Carberry, MB in 1972, where Bob worked for Carnation Foods until his retirement. He spent the remaining years of his life as a consultant with Crop Care Consulting Ltd. This was more than just a job for Dad - it was a blessing as it allowed him to continue to travel throughout the area which he so loved, as well as working with (and visiting with) the farmers of the area who he greatly respected. Yvonne, Stuart and Kathleen would like to thank the family and many friends who have given their overwhelming support, love and generosity of spirit during this difficult time, as well as the tremendous care given by all medical staff at the Carberry and Neepawa hospitals, and the Health Sciences Centre, Winnipeg. The memorial service will be held on Friday, February 11 at 1:30 p.m. at the Anglican Church, Carberry. Immediately following the church service we invite you to join us for a time of community and sharing at the Carberry United Church Hall (directly across) at 608-3rd Ave. In lieu of flowers, if friends so wish, donations in Dad's memory, may be made to a charity of choice. White's Funeral Home, Neepawa-Carberry in care of arrangements.
